I live in Devon with my wife Catherine, who is a Construction Solicitor working for Michelmores, and our daughter Hattie who is currently in primary school.
I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 1997 having studied Computing and informatics and undertake regular CPD and I am a professional member of the British Computer Society (995098195), the chartered institute for IT . My focus now is primarily WordPress website development, marketing fundamentals and how they work in a web environment and website hosting, although the extended list of skills and experience is much longer.
My wife Catherine studied at Oxford University and did a post graduate degree at Leeds University and another at Birmingham University.
We live with our two dogs, Jack and Reg and our mixed flock of chickens and ducks.
I met my wife through our mutual love of the great outdoors. We both enjoy mountaineering and hiking.
Up until recently I served with Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team in Tavistock. I spent 14 years in the team during which I spent 5 years on the committee serving as Treasurer, Secretary and Chairman.
I also trained and worked a search dog through Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.
I undertook literally hundreds of call outs over the 14 years and helped to locate many missing people in wild and remote places.
My wife is a serving member of North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and is also a qualified serving Search dog handler, working her dog Jack.
During my time in Mountain Rescue I was privileged to get the opportunity to share the mountain rescue experience on TV with Ben Fogle on Countrywise and on the Radio 4 broadcast Ramblings with Clare Balding. Both events demonstrated Dartmoor at its wettest.
